What is the thing that scares you the most about going to therapy? Are you afraid of being judged or misunderstood by your family and peers? OR is it the fear of looking weak and not in control of your emotions? OR maybe you feel so overwhelmed that you don't know where to start? All of the above are common fears that most people have when seeking therapy, but it is time to stop. It's the New Year! People are out here healing through therapy and going after the life they want. Why shouldn't you? When you think about it? What has shielded your emotions done for you; besides cause confusion. In reality, it has probably left you burnt out and feeling alone. It can feel scary to unearth the things you've buried deep, but your desires to be happy and healthy

Hi, I'm David. I am a licensed social worker from Baltimore, Maryland. I have almost a decade of experience helping children, adults, and couples navigate life. As an adult, I'm constantly reminded of how misguided I was and how much my village didn't teach me. I used to be resentful because I felt like I was forced to survive and be resilient. As if navigating the world as a Black man wasn't hard enough. These days, I recognize that while the life I was subjected to wasn't my fault, I am entirely responsible for what happens now. I firmly believe change starts with a strong sense of self. If you don't know who you are, how can you be anything for anyone else? Knowing who you encompass understanding what you can and will not tolerate. Learning how to cope with disappointment and maintain boundaries that protect the person you're becoming. Close your eyes, and imagine the life you want for yourself. Then make that appointment you've been putting off. Somebody has to help you figure out how to get there. Call us, let's talk.
